Overview
The Green Workplace Challenge is being presented by the Business Climate Coalition, a program of Sustainable Pittsburgh and the Pittsburgh Climate Initiative. The challenge has been designed to offer businesses throughout Southwestern Pennsylvania the opportunity to save money and earn recognition for reducing their energy use.

The Green Workplace Challenge is divided into four competition categories for small, medium, and large businesses and property managers. A fifth "Observer" category is also included for non-profits and other organizations not eligible to compete for awards.
Welcome
The Pittsburgh Green Workplace Challenge, taking place from September 2011 through October 2012, will engage Southwestern Pennsylvania’s business community in a fair and friendly competition that will produce real reductions in resource use and greenhouse gas emissions, while promoting sustainable business practices. Businesses do not have to own their own buildings in order to participate in the competition.
